2.  Minutes of Previous Finance and General Purposes Committee Meeting

It was RECOMMENDED: That the Minutes of the previous Finance and General Purposes Committee meeting held on Monday 1st April 2019 be approved as a true and correct record.

 

3.  Matters Arising.

a.)  Minute number 1.a.) Shared User Agreement - Insurance.

Members were informed that no response had been received from Sam Bhachu (solicitor) to date.

 

b.)  Minute number 5.g.) County Court Money Claims Centre.

It was agreed that this item be deferred to the Private Section of these Minutes.

a.)  Peter Sharples (Solihull MBC) - Re: Stay Connected - Wildlife Ways - April 2019.

It was RECOMMENDED: That this item be received and noted.

 

b.)  Christine Grabski (Solihull MBC) - Re: Locality Plans.

It was RECOMMENDED: That this item be received and noted.

 

c.)  Sue Watson (Unity Trust) - Re: Unity Community Hubs Information Pack.

It was RECOMMENDED: That the Clerk enquire what the opening times are for the Excellence in the Community Room are at Elmwood Place, as they have been approached by Sight and Sound regarding the use of the Excom Room after 5pm.

 

d.)  Deborah Merry (Solihull MBC) - Re: The Local Authorities (Members’ Allowance) Regulations 2003 - Parish Basic Allowances 2019/2020.

It was RECOMMENDED: That this item be received and noted.

 

e.)  Natalie O’Dwyer (Balfour Beatty) - Re: M6 Combined TM log 13th May to 19th May.

It was RECOMMENDED: That this item be received and noted.

 

f.)  Dave Dixon - Re: Copies of letters to: Cllr Ian Courts regarding drainage location and Bosworth School field.

It was RECOMMENDED: That these items be received and noted.

 

g.)  Councillor Mark Wilson (Green Party) - Re: Crusade for better Bus Service.

It was RECOMMENDED: That the Clerk inform Cllr Wilson that the Parish Council support the crusade for better bus services and ask to be kept informed of meeting dates and times, etc.

 

h.)  West Midlands Police - Re: Neighbourhood Alerts: Car Key Burglaries - Castle Bromwich; Vigilance at ATM terminals; Vehicle Crime North Solihull 25-28 April 2019; Our News - the Neighbourhood Watch e-newsletter; Lock Up tour; Robbery Babbs Mill Recreation Ground 7th May 2019; London Mosque Incident.

It was RECOMMENDED: That the Parish Council have no objections to the above application subject to the views of local residents.

It was RECOMMENDED: That the Parish Council have no objections to the above application subject to the views of local residents.

It was RECOMMENDED: That the members of the Parish Council consider the Accounting Statements.

 

2.b.)  Approval of the Accounting Statements by resolution.

It was RECOMMENDED: That the Accounting Statements be approved.

 

2.c.)  Accounting Statements Signed and Dated by the Chairman of the Council.

It was RECOMMENDED: That the Accounting Statements be signed and dated by the Chairman of the Council, Cllr M Rashid.

 

c.)  Bank Reconciliation

It was RECOMMENDED: That the bank reconciliation as at 30th April 2019 be accepted.

9.  Exclusion of Public and Press.

It was RECOMMENDED: That in accordance with Schedule 12a of the Local Government Act 1972, the public and press be excluded from the following Agenda items: Staff Matters and Wages; Health and Safety; Security.
